Judy, Registered Dental Hygienist
Judy graduated from Allegheny Community College in Cumberland, MD in 1990 with an Associate’s degree in dental hygiene. She currently lives in Vernon, Vermont on an organic dairy farm with her four children ages 7, 9, 18, and 19 and her husband Art. While dairy is their main source of income, they also have a variety of other animals. They raise golden retrievers, the kids have kittens, and Judy has horses. She has worked part-time as a dental hygienist for over twenty years, with ten in the Brattleboro area. She joined West River Family Dental in 2013. Judy enjoys building relationships and confidence and making sure patients have personal, comfortable, and professional experiences.
Sarah, Registered Dental Hygienist
A registered dental hygienist, a graduate of UVM, a native Vermonter. Sarah strives to understand each patients knowledge of oral health. This allows her to treat each patient as an individual. She enjoys the diversity a family practice provides, 3 year olds to 100 year olds. She is proud to be a part of the close-knit dental hygiene team at West River Family Dental because she knows they are all working towards one common goal – THE WELL BEING / ORAL HEALTH OF THE PATIENT. Away from the office, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family, snowmobiling, reading, riding horses, or a good long walk.
Angela, DANB Certified Dental Assistant, Expanded Functions
Angela assists the doctor in the restorative and preventive care of our patients. She works chair side with the doctor, assisting him with dental procedures and treatment of our patients. She also creates provisional crowns and bridges, repairs dentures and partials, places sealants, polishes teeth, and other treatments. Angela joined our practice in 2009. She’s from Townshend. Her education includes a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont and certification for dental assisting from the DANB. Angela feels that the best thing about working for West River Family Dental is that they truly have the best interest of patients and the community in mind. She’s a great dental assistant because of her compassion, friendly attitude, and motivation to further her education in the dental field. In her free time Angela enjoys knitting, reading, and spending time with family and friends, including her three sons.
Amy, Registered Dental Hygienist
Amy is the newest hygienist to join our practice. She received her Associates degree in Dental Hygiene from STCC in Springfield, MA in 2018. She focuses on patient education to help patients understand why oral care is so important, while providing thorough and comprehensive assessments to allow the best care for each patient. Amy enjoys working at West River Family Dental because it is a cohesive team that feels like family and is focused on each patients individual needs. When away from the office, Amy enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
Lori, Patient Coordinator
Lori greets patients, helps with scheduling, takes payments, enters treatment plans, confirms appointments and updates charts. She’s from Brattleboro, VT, and she’s been in the dental field for over twenty-seven years. She joined West River Family Dental in 2009. Continuing her education is important to Lori and she does so through Yankee Dental and Vermont State Dental Society. Her outgoing personality and ability to work well under pressure make her a great fit. She has two grown sons, a grandson, and a granddaughter. Lori enjoys golfing and spending time with friends and family.
Rebecca, DANB Certified Dental Assistant, Expanded Functions
Rebecca joined our team in September 2019. Rebecca assists the doctors in restorative and preventive procedures for our patients. Rebecca especially enjoys making provisional crowns and bridges, as well as denture repairs. Rebecca is able to do in office relines, fabrications of night guards, place sealants, and polish. Rebecca has been a dental assistant since 1991 and received her DANB certificate in 2003. Rebecca continues to expand her knowledge to better help our patients. Rebecca graduated from EFDA school in August of 2021. What Rebecca loves about working at West River Family Dental is the personal relationships and the care given to our patients. Rebecca likes to spend her personal time with family, caring for her horses, bead weaving, and swimming.
